Apply for help from the Swiss Zakat Foundation

The Swiss Foundation for Zakat has three funds to which people with a request for assistance can apply. You can submit an application yourself if you have a request for assistance that is appropriate for the FSZ. A professional involved can also do this on your behalf.

You can get help in these three areas

Emergency Assistance

You can apply here if you are unable to make ends meet and pay for basic necessities. This can include food, rent, medical expenses, bills, etc.

To apply to the Swiss Zakat Foundation, you must have your own email address, mobile phone number, and a device able to connect to the internet.

Training & Education

You can apply here if lack of money is a barrier to your personal development, education, and increasing your job prospects.

Debt Relief

Zakat is also there to help you get out of debt. You can apply if you are in debt and it is a hindrance in your life.

Note that this fund is intended for debts of more than CHF 5’000. If your debts are smaller, you can apply for the emergency fund.
