Over 1 billion people have no access to clean drinking water. Imagine not having a tap in your kitchen. In many regions of the world, especially in Africa, women and children spend hours every day fetching water from unsafe sources. This time, lost in dangerous and often long journeys, could be used for education, work or providing for their families.
We are told we should drink about 3 liters of water a day to stay healthy. But what about those who have to struggle for days to do so?
Thanks to your support, the Swiss Zakat Foundation has already realized well projects in Chad and given new life to communities. These projects have been realized in collaboration with the Swiss Zakat Foundation and its friends and partners. But this is just the beginning!
