About the Swiss Foundation for Zakat

The Swiss Foundation for Zakat (SZF) believes in a society where Muslims unite their efforts through Zakat to bring harmony and prosperity to all. Our mission is to establish and develop the third pillar of Islam. The SZF helps Muslims to calculate, collect and distribute their Zakat in order to have a positive impact on Swiss society.

Our Dream

The gap in society is widening. Many people are struggling to make ends meet and find themselves in a spiral of poverty and other social problems. According to the FSO (2021), more than 735,000 people are struggling to make ends meet and are more likely to be in debt. This is a problem for all of us in Switzerland. But together we can change this!
Guided by our faith and values, we unleash the great potential of the community by bringing Zakat to life. We are taking our future into our own hands and creating a more caring society. By joining forces, we bring harmony and prosperity to all. Here in our country.

Our mission is to establish and develop the third pillar of Islam. The SZF helps Muslims to calculate, collect and distribute their Zakat in order to have a positive impact in our Swiss society.

Our Strategy

We aim to be the most dynamic and inspiring philanthropic institution in Switzerland. By aiming for the highest quality standards, we inspire and motivate others to join us. We cooperate intensively with various social institutions and coordinate our work with existing structures as much as possible. In this way, we not only join forces, but also achieve a real multiplier effect.
